That’s where we come in. We’re seeking a Deck and Railing Crew Leader to lead our specialized team and deliver award-winning deck and railing installations across the La Crosse, WI and Winona, MN area.

Base Pay: Up to $35/hour based on experience and leadership capabilities

Your First 90 Days

30 Days:

  • Immerse yourself in our systems, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Build relationships with your crew and understand team dynamics
  • Complete project assessments and workflow evaluations

60 Days:

  • Implement improved processes and accountability measures for your team
  • Demonstrate leadership through consistent project delivery and team development
  • Establish clear communication rhythms with management and customers

90 Days:

  • Lead high-quality deck and railing projects from start to finish
  • Show measurable improvements in team performance and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute strategic insights for operational efficiency and growth

Reporting Structure: Reports to Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

Lead Project Excellence: Manage deck and railing installations from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, quality, and customer satisfaction exceed expectations.

Develop Your Team: Coach and mentor crew members to improve their skills, safety awareness, and craftsmanship while building a cohesive, high-performing team.

Optimize Operations: Implement systematic approaches to workflow, material management, and tool maintenance that improve efficiency and consistency.

Ensure Quality Standards: Maintain our 5-star reputation by delivering exceptional craftsmanship and addressing challenges with innovative problem-solving.

Build Strong Relationships: Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management to ensure transparency, trust, and project success.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of carpentry experience with specific expertise in deck construction and railing installation
  • Proven track record of leading construction teams and developing crew members
  • Strong organizational abilities with systematic approach to project management
  • Proficiency with carpentry techniques, measuring, leveling, and power tools
